Cold-storage-monitoring-system

What Is A Cold Storage Monitoring System?

Controlling and monitoring hygiene and safety is mandatory for many businesses, but tracking temperatures and humidity in refrigerated rooms is essential too. If done manually, with pen and paper, it might be costly and incomplete.

Errors may always occur, even if employees follow properly the processes. In addition, the whole operation must be regularly resumed, without certainty that nothing will go wrong. A cold storage monitoring system is a complete solution, including connected sensors or/and wireless sensors. It's a flexible and modulable network, which fit with your refrigerated warehouses.

 How it Works

The first step is to fix one wireless sensor or a connected sensor in every cold storage room, to enable you to track temperatures via an Internet connection.
The second step is to connect all the freezer equipments through a receiver with a GPRS/GSM modem.

The sensing nodes send information to a secure Ethernet gateway, which communicates to the webserver. Implementation comes with easy to follow instructions. The sofware is simple and operates with your usual browser, through a login and password with your PC, smartphone, or tablet. As you can create a network of refrigerated rooms from different locations (and even regions), in case of malfunction of any device anywhere, an instant alert will inform the maintenance staff via email or SMS, with the exact place of the failure, building and floor, so you won't waste time and products.

What is the difference with a laboratory wireless sensor?

As technology is getting more and more wireless, a laboratory wireless sensor is working the same way cold storage monitoring system, depending of the size of your organisation. As monitoring consists of automatically tracking every detail, on a 24/7 basis, information is gathered and sent to the Cloud. In case of malfunction, or if a part of your process has been overlooked, you can take an corrective action immediately. You accede to the display of every unit's status in real time.
